Let's Talk About Line 3.

Line 3 is a pipeline expansion idea that has been proposed for the sole reason of bringing nearly a million barrels of tar sands per day from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin. It was proposed around 7 years ago by Enbridge, a Canadian pipeline company that was responsible for the largest inland oil spill in the US. Enbridge now wants to build a new corridor for the pipeline and invade treaty territory of Anishinaabe peoples. Line 3 would completely violate the treaty rights of Anishinaabe peoples. Not only that but wild rice, a huge staple of Anishinaabe culture grows in multiple watersheds that the Line 3 pipeline will cross. History is repeating itself and we can NOT let this happen again.

As quoted from http://stopline3.org, "The proposed route for Line 3 crosses 227 lakes and rivers, including the Mississippi River and rivers that feed directly into Lake Superior, putting those waterways at risk of a spill from the 760,000 barrels of tar sands oil that would flow through Line 3 every day."

Here are some ways to help.

1) Text PUCZGE to the number 50409 on your phone. It will send your representatives and the president a letter demanding a permanent stop to Line 3.

2) Spread awareness, and tell your friends and family about step 1 and 3! The more people we reach out to about this the more we can do to stop the destruction of indigenous homeland and culture.

3) https://www.stopline3.org/biden. This link sends a sample customizable letter to President Biden.
